Amanda Shires’ Long Trek

Amanda Shires extends her 2016 touring plans with the shows planned for September through early December.  Stops for the singer / songwriter / violinist include Detroit, Philadelphia, Dallas and New Orleans as well as an evening in Nashville opening for John Prine.

Arriving Sept. 16, Shires’ My Piece Of Land album was recorded with award-winning producer Dave Cobb at his Low Country Sound studio.  Described as “a very personal account” of what the artist was experiencing during the creation process, the album includes several songs written while the artist was seven months pregnant, resulting in a very personal and self-reflective work.
