Drowning Pool, Senior Citizen To Team Up

When 82-year-old John Hetlinger performed the metal classic “Bodies” on “America’s Got Talent” last month, the video became a viral sensation. Drowning Pool, the originators of the song, has now announced Hetlinger will take the stage with the band tomorrow, at .

After the performance Drowning Pool took to Twitter and formally invited Hetlinger to join them at an upcoming date, which he graciously he accepted. Now he will be at 

“I am really amped-up to see y’all when Drowning Pool and I join you in Chicago this Friday afternoon for the Chicago Open Air festival,” Hetlinger said in a press release. “We are going to have a blast together – let the bodies hit the floor!”

Drowning Pool prides itself on its support of veterans, and three of the band members have family that served in the military. Drummer Mike Luce said he considered it an honor to perform alongside the former Navy man.
