Megadeth’s ‘Dystopia’ North American Run

Not only did Dave Mustaine & Co. announce dates ranging from Sept. 20 in Casper, Wyo., to Oct. 16 in Camden, N.J., but the band also premiered the video for the new single “Post American World,” from the Dystopia album.

“The filming of ‘Post American World’ was an eerie video shoot right from the beginning,” Mustaine said.  “Shot in just one day with only our guitars and drums, I knew that this was going to be amazing.  There is something to be said about the simplicity of an artist and only his guitar or drums.  This is clearly a ‘less is more’ concept and director Jake Macpherson nailed it!”

Soilwork’s Dirk Verbeuren has been designated as Megadeth’s full-time drummer.  Verbeuren is no stranger to the band, having been performing with the group for months.

The plan calls for Megadeth to hit 16 states with special guests Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church and Havok.
