Peter Frampton Strips Down

Orlando, Savannah, Nashville and D.C. are just a few of the cities hosting “Peter Frampton Raw, An Acoustic Tour,” beginning in late September.

Frampton, who’s spending much of the summer doing full-band shows with either Lynyrd Skynyrd or Gregg Allman, released his Acoustic Classics album earlier this year.  As the title implies, the LP is packed with unplugged versions of Frampton classics like “Baby, I Love Your Way,” “Do You Feel Like I Do” and “Show Me The Way.”  The album also has one new song, “All Down To Me,” co-written by long-time collaborator Gordon Kennedy.

Frampton won’t be undertaking the autumn adventure by himself.  Joining the Humble Pie-veteran will be Kennedy as well as Frampton’s singer/guitarist son, Julian.

While Frampton’s acoustic shows are scheduled for the fall, the guitarist does have an unplugged date planned for Nashville in March.  Here are the dates:

Sept. 30 – Charleston, S.C., Charleston Music Hall
Oct. 2 – Clearwater, Fla., Capitol Theatre
Oct. 4 – Orlando, Fla., Plaza Live Orlando
Oct. 5 – Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Parker Playhouse
Oct. 8 – Naples, Fla., Hayes Hall
