A Few More Dates: Neil Young, Garth Brooks

Neil Young lines up a two-night stand in Telluride, Colo., ahead of his appearance at Desert Trip. Meanwhile, Garth Brooks had booked his first Anaheim, Calif., concert in 20 years.

Neil Young’s first-ever performances in Telluride are scheduled Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at Telluride Town Park. He is bringing along his recent collaborators, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.

Telluride is so excited to welcome Young + Promise Of The Real that Steve Gumble of Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and Craig Ferguson of Telluride Bluegrass Festival both sent out statements about the big news.

“Neil Young is in that genre and demographic that for me screams ‘Telluride,’” Gumble said. “He’s been a part of many people’s lives for decades.  His style, his environmentalism – it’s a really good fit for Telluride.  This is a dream come true, not only for myself, but many people in Telluride.  I am honored to be a part of these concerts which are sure to be legendary.”

Ferguson added, “I believe Neil is the artist Telluride has most wanted to see.”

Single-day tickets and two-day passes will be sold, as well as three-day camping passes.

Presales begin July 26 at 11 a.m. MDT. Tickets go on sale to the general public July 28 at 11 a.m. MDT.

You can catch Young at Desert Trip in Indio, Calif., Oct. 8 and 15. His schedule also includes appearances at Farm Aid and Bridge School Benefit.

As for Garth Brooks, the country star makes his grand return to Anaheim Sept. 17.

The time and place is 7 p.m. at the Honda Center.

Anaheim is the latest stop added to his world tour with his wife, Trisha Yearwood.
