Garth Brooks & The Ryman

There are some things even Garth Brooks has yet to accomplish.  Like playing a full concert at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium.  But he can cross that desire off of his bucket list come September.

Scheduled for Sept. 8, Brooks’ night at the Ryman is a private concert coinciding with the launch of The Garth Channel on SiriusXM. Completely curated by Brooks, The Garth Channel is being touted as marking “the first time” his music “will be available 24/7 in one place, on radio or online.”  Along with his incredible catalog, the channel will include songs from artists that have influenced him.

Not only will the performance air live on the 24/7 channel dedicated to everything Garth, but will also be available via channel 55 and through the SiriusXM app for phones and other portable devices. The concert will also air via SiriusXM’s website.

“Just the thought of playing the Ryman is crazy,” Brooks said.  “The fact that SiriusXM is going to capture the evening makes it even a bigger event for me.”

Even though the event is a private affair, you still have a chance to score tickets.  Beginning today, fans who have subscribed to SiriusXM since July 11 will have chances via radio call-in opportunities to enter to win tickets to the show.   Entering online begins July 28. “It will be a special moment for Garth at the Ryman, and we are excited to present this one-of-a-kind performance to our national listening audience,” SiriusXM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein said.  “As Garth is showing on his current tour, he holds nothing back, and for him to play the Mother Church of Country Music will be a treasured moment for his many fans.”
