A judge is considering whether to charge the star, according to the BBC. The incident, in which Olomide can reportedly be seen kicking the dancer at the Nairobi, Kenya, airport, was videoed and went viral.
Olomide has denied the assault, but apologized for the behavior, according to the British broadcaster. The video is said to have sparked outrage among Kenyans, who called for Olomide’s arrest. Olomide, who has toured in Africa and Europe, is popular for his performance of a style of music called “soukous.”
