Though many know Aoki for his high-energy live shows, during which he often dives from the stage and flings cake into the audience, the film, titled “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead,” highlights Steve’s relationship with his father, Rocky Aoki, the former wrestler and founder of the Benihana restaurant chain, and how Steve became one of the most famous figures in EDM.

The film premiered to critical praise in April at the Tribeca Film Festival and will be available on Netflix Aug. 19.

Aoki is still keeping a rigorous touring schedule, with shows booked for the rest of 2016. The routing is split into runs in North America and Europe, with a special appareance at  in Haifa, Israel, Aug. 25. The EDM superstar is going to be at plenty of festivals on both sides of the Atlantic:  in Del Mar, Calif.;  in New York;  in Toronto;  in Somerset , Wis.;  in Ubersee, Germany; and  in Porec, Croatia, are all on the menu.

Many of Aoki’s dates in October, November and December revolve around Las Vegas, with  and  being the venues of choice.

He is also still releasing new music, with a new EP, 4OKI, coming out July 29.
