Thirsty For New Dates From The Growlers?

The fifth edition of Beach Goth Festival is scheduled Oct. 22-23 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, Calif. Along with two nights from The Growlers, attendees will be treated to performances from Bon Iver, Justice, King Krule, Gucci Mane, RL Grim, Patti Smith, TLC, James Blake, Devendra Banhart, Violent Femmes and more.

The Growlers says the phrase “Beach Goth” is an apt descriptor of its music.

The band’s Facebook bio explains, “Sunburned and salty, that term perfectly describes their distinctive melding of reverb heavy surf guitar and Bakersfield-style honky tonk with ‘80s post-punk. This is especially true of Chinese Fountain, The Growlers’ fifth full-length [album].”

The group will soon release the follow-up to the 2014 LP. A specific date hasn’t been announced but the new album is expected out this fall via Cult Records.

The fall tour includes gig in Chicago, Detroit, Boston, New York and Nashville. Here’s the plan.

Tickets for Las Vegas and Beach Goth Party are available now. The rest of the dates go on sale July 29 at 10 a.m. local time.
