Allman has received a variety of accolades over his decades-long career as founding member of the Allman Brothers Band and as a solo artist. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and the ABB was honored with the lifetime achievement award in 2012 at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

His memoir, “My Cross To Bear,” reigned at the top of the New York Times bestseller list for numerous weeks.
