A Few Nights With Chris Cornell

Chris Cornell is following up Temple Of The Dog’s first-ever tour with two intimate solo dates in Colorado.

The solo shows are set for Dec. 23 & 27 at the Belly Up Aspen.

The news comes just a week after Cornell wrapped up a solo North American tour in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Soundgarden/Audioslave/Temple Of The Dog frontman is continuing to support his 2015 solo album, Higher Truth.

Next on Cornell’s touring itinerary is Temple Of The Dog’s North American excursion in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the band’s debut album.

The band’s first and only studio album was released in April 1991 via A&M Records. Fans can pre-order a copy of the reissue, which is due out Sept. 30.  The reissue is available as a four-disc super deluxe edition, a double LP, a two-CD deluxe edition or a single CD.

Although Temple Of The Dog performed a few full shows in Seattle 1990, the band never toured. Cornell, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Matt Cameron hit the road for the very first time in early November. The outing includes gigs in Upper Darby, Pa.; New York; San Francisco; Inglewood, Calif.; and the band’s hometown of Seattle.

Let’s talk tickets for the Aspen shows. A fan club presale is going on now with the password Josephine. The general public onsale begins Aug. 5 at 12 p.m. local time.

Cornell is donating one dollar from every ticket sold to the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, “which is currently raising funds and partnering with charitable organizations to mobilize support for children facing problems including homelessness, poverty, abuse, and neglect.”
