Hara Shutters After 60 Years
Eastern Ohio’s Hara Arena , which was family owned and an integral part of the surrounding communities for generations, announced that it is closing for good this month.
The Dayton Business Journal reported that the local hockey team, the Dayton Demolition, is canceling its season because of the want of a venue. Some events have been working on contingency plans with the venue in case of cancellation. The arena was operated by VenuWorks. The future of the arena is up in the air, although the Business Journal reported that officials had been eyeing the location as a potential host for the 2017 Montgomery County Fair.
