He is also a co-promoter of CMC Rocks Queensland, the largest international country and roots festival in the southern hemisphere.

Potts told Pollstar, “I have been working and helping develop many young Aussie artists over my career and it is exciting now to be able to further my efforts with a new label deal through Sony. In the past my role has been more across the live side of artist’s careers so it is going to be very rewarding to now enable some great young talent to grow their recording careers as well.”

He adds, “We’re keen to get things moving, but we need to secure the right viable talent, so won’t be rushing things. We will always be looking for local artists that can be competitive internationally, but this won’t necessarily be a prerequisite for an initial deal here in Australia.”
