‘A Cat’s Attic’ From Yusuf / Cat Stevens

The artist who gave the world hits like “Morning Has Broken,” “Wild World,” and “Peace Train” has a road trip beginning in mid-September.  Destinations for Yusuf / Cat Stevens include Toronto, Boston, Los Angeles and Nashville.

Described as “a limited run of stripped-down, introspective performances,” The tour includes two nights in New York that will mark Yusuf / Stevens’ first public shows in the Big Apple since 1976.  Along with playing Sept. 19-20 at the Beacon Theatre, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will also bring his music to the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park.

The “ A Cat’s Attic” tour coincides with the 50-year anniversary of Yusuf / Stevens’ first single release, “I Love My Dog.”

Working through his Small Kindness charitable foundation, Yusuf / Stevens is directing a portion of all ticket sales to help orphans, children and families via donations to UNICEF and  the International Rescue Committee.
