Blossoms’ Tour Blooms In Autumn

The indie-pop band hails from Stockport, England, (part of the Greater Manchester area) and consists of Tom Ogden (vocals/guitar), Josh Dewhurt (guitar), Myles Kellock (synths), Charlie Salt (bass) and Joe Donovan (drums). Fun fact – all five members were serendipitously born at the same Stepping Hill Hospital.

Blossoms’ self-titled debut album dropped earlier this month and features 12 tracks. The band’s sound has been compared to artists ranging from The Doors to Depeche Mode.

“Fundamentally we want to be a great pop band,” Ogden said. “We’re influenced by the present as much as the past and we want to sound as modern as we can. We want to sound like a band who could only ever exist now, not then.”

Oct. 13 marks the Blossoms’ first ever New York show. The next night they appear with Night Riots in San Francisco, followed by a headlining set in Los Angeles Oct. 17.
