Candlebox Locks Down November & January Dates

Reno, Los Angeles and Missoula, Mont., are among the cities preparing to roll out the welcome wagons for a visit from Candlebox. Kevin Martin & Co. have also announced a run of U.K. dates, along with gigs in Netherlands and France.

The post-grunge/alternative rock band will be showing off tunes from its sixth studio album, Disappearing in Airports, which was released in April.

Kevin Martin geting up close and personal with the front row.

During a Q&A with Pollstar earlier this year Martin described the release as an “invigorated album, something that’s kind of relentless, once it starts it never stops.”

He added, “There’s politics in there, there’s love in there, there’s sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll.  It’s all in there.  But it’s very cohesive. … I think it’s the best record we’ve ever made.  There’s not a song on it that I skip.”

Candlebox’s next show is Friday’s appearance with Theory Of A Deadman in Carlton, Minn. After that the band has a few festival performances and a batch of September gigs with Buckcherry. The U.S. fall tour begins Nov. 11 in Reno with special guest Jeff Angell’s Staticland.

“So stoked to be playing these shows with Jeff Angell’s Staticland and looking forward to visiting some of our favorite Northwest and West Coast stomping grounds. Can’t wait to see ya’ll,” Martin said.

As for the U.K. and Europe dates: “Say Whaaaaaatttt? About damn time, huh?!? Cannot wait to come play for ya’ll. You’ve been so patient, can’t believe it’s actually happening!! See ya’s soon!!”
