Freddie Gibbs Charged With Sexual Abuse in Austria

An Austrian legal official says prosecutors have charged U.S. rapper Freddie Gibbs with sexual abuse based on accusations raised against the rapper and one of his body guards by two women.

Criminal court spokesman Thomas Spreitzer told the Austria Press Agency Wednesday that the charges were filed the day before relating to events more than a year ago.

The indictment says that the two men exploited the dazed state of two women whose drinks were possibly drugged to sexually abuse them after a nightclub appearance by Gibbs.

Gibbs, whose real name is Fredrick Tipton, was recently extradited to Austria from France. He denies the accusations.

APA did not say whether the body guard was also charged, and the court couldn’t immediately be reached for a comment.
