Kula Shaker’s Sept.-Oct. Run

A taste of British psychedelia comes your way beginning in late September when Kula Shaker lands on these shores.  Stops include Boston, Brooklyn, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

K2.0 is the name of the new Kula Shaker album.  The band’s fifth studio album comes 20 years after the release of debut disc K on Columbia Records.

But Kula Shaker’s roots go back farther than that.  Guitarist/frontman Crispian Mills, the son of actress Haley Mills and movie director Roy Boulting, met bassist Alonza Bevan in 1988.  Although the two were soon playing in a band, it wasn’t until 1995 that Mills came up with the Kula Shaker moniker.
