Spectrum is Charter’s digital brand of TV, Internet and voice services. The switch is expected to occur before the opening of the Charlotte Hornets’ NBA season in late October, according to the Charlotte Observer.

TWC reportedly entered into a 20-year naming rights deal with the team that provides a revenue stream of some $5 million per year.

According to the paper, it’s “typically incumbent” upon the name sponsor to pay for costs associated with a name change – from exterior signage down to business card and stationary logos.
