Lou Pearlman Dead At 62
Former boy band impresario Lou Pearlman has died in a federal prison while serving a 25-year sentence for charges including conspiracy, money laundering and making false statements. He was 62.

Multiple sources reported the death, but the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported a search of federal prisoner records showed Pealman listed as “deceased” Aug. 19.
Pearlman, known for producing artists including Backstreet Boys, NSync, and O-Town became embroiled in a $300 million Ponzi scheme and was convicted in 2008.
Lance Bass of NSync posted a tweet Aug. 20 acknowledging Pearlman’s death, saying, “He might not have been a stand up businessman, but I wouldn’t be doing what I love today (without) his influence.”
