Odd Squad Live! Announces 2016-2017 Tour
The TV program, which won a Daytime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Writing in a Children’s Series,” encourages viewers age 5-8 to “build math, problem-solving and collaboration skills” as they cheer on the young agents of Odd Squad who “investigate unusual occurrences.”
An announcement from Odd Squad Live!’s PR team promises that the tour will feature “an action-packed, educational, and hilarious live show filled with the coolest new gadgets, funniest and quirkiest villains and catchy hit songs from the Odd Squad-favorite band, Soundcheck.” Along with classic “Odd Squad” tunes, fans can expect to learn a few new songs from composer Paul Buckley.
“We are really excited about how interactive Odd Squad Live! is and that kids in the audience can become agents and solve an odd case in real time!” series creator Tim McKeon said.
The tour, which will include both school and public performances, will stop in more than 60 cities throughout North America. So far, 50 gigs have been confirmed. The fun begins in Ruthland, Vt.
