Paper Route Propels ‘Real Emotion’

Real Emotion is the band’s third full-length record and first on Kemosabe Records/Sony Music Ent. The first two singles off the 16-track collection “Laugh About It” and “Chariots” are available now. “Balconies,” the first instant grat track, will be released Sept. 2.

Paper Route is a Nashville-based indie pop trio consisting of JT Daly (vocals/keyboards/percussion), Chad Howat (bass/piano/programming) and Nick Aranda (guitar). Here’s what their frontman had to say about the new LP.

“The album title, Real Emotion, comes from a conversation I had with author David Dark about mental health,” Daly said. “How it can be embarrassing when those closest to you witness the real you and the struggle of balancing everyday life. How it might almost seem fake but it is very real. It’s a real emotion. The album art is a visual expression of these emotions.”

The tour features support from Halfnoise (Zac Farro’s solo project).
