Autopsy: Boy-Band Promoter Died From Heart Infection
A report from the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner released Tuesday shows that Lou Pearlman got the infection after getting a heart valve replaced.
The report says the 62-year-old Pearlman had suffered from a condition in which the heart valve has trouble opening fully.

Pearlman died Friday at a federal prison in South Florida where he was serving a 25-year sentence for a massive Ponzi scheme.
Pearlman’s $300 million Ponzi scheme through his Trans Continental companies was uncovered in 2006. He was convicted of fraud in 2008.
Hundreds of lawsuits were filed in the mogul’s case, including one by the Backstreet Boys.
