Jack Utsick, who was to be sentenced for his role in a massive Ponzi scheme Aug. 23 in a Miami, Fla., court, had his hearing moved to Sept. 29.

Eric Lisann, an attorney for Utsick, said he was temporarily unable to assist with Utsick’s case because his father had suffered a stroke.

In a June plea deal, Utsick agreed to plead guilty to one count of mail fraud and repay his creditors some $162 million that was still owed after a receiver liquidated his assets. He still faces a potential 20-year sentence.
