Alberta Cross Strips Down

Alberta Cross lead singer / guitarist Petter Ericson Stakee announces a solo run that includes U.S. dates appearing with Heartless Bastards’ Erika Wennerstrom in the U.S. and headlining shows in Europe and the U.K.

The tour announcement coincides with the arrival of Alberta Cross’s new video for the song “Heavy Words,” from the band’s self-titled album.

Alberta Cross recently completed a headlining tour of North America that included supporting Joe Walsh, a gig playing Ringo Starr’s birthday in front of Capitol Records in Los Angeles, a month-long journey appearing with Heartless Bastards, and a couple of nights supporting Eric Burdon & The Animals at New York’s City Winery.

“This last tour was great, working as a six-piece band, touring around the U.S., and getting to play with some legends like Joe Walsh, Ringo, and Eric Burdon along the way,” Stakee said.  “It was grand and it’s got me even more excited to try something totally different and do these dates on my own, very stripped back but also kinda like a one man band with all the music instrument toys I’m bringing ha ha.”

But Stakee isn’t totally forsaking accompaniment.  He’ll headline with a full band at Brooklyn’s Music Hall Of Williamsburg in December.  Here’s the schedule:
