Keller Williams Unveils Holiday Plans

Here’s some news to get you in the Thanksgiving spirit a few months early: Keller Williams has announced the return of “Thanksforgrassgiving,” featuring two nights with a group of fine musicians. He’s also revealed details for his New Year’s Eve show with Grateful Gospel.

After stuffing yourself with mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, you’ll no doubt be in the mood for a serving of some delicious tunes from Keller. The Thanksgiving weekend shows are scheduled Friday, Nov. 25 in Washington, D.C., at the 9:30 Club and Saturday, Nov. 26 in Richmond, Va., at The National.

Both gigs feature Williams joined by Jeff Austin on mandolin, Nicky Sanders of Steep Canyon Rangers on fiddle, Danton Boller of Keller Williams band / KWahtro on bass, and Jay Starling of Love Canon on dobro. Love Canon will also play an opening set each evening and Williams hints that he “more than likely … be crashing their stage.”

“Thanksforgrassgiving is all about music lovers coming together in an attempt to entertain ourselves and push the boundaries of bluegrass,” Williams said.

Williams is ringing in 2017 with a NYE gig at Rams Head Live! in Baltimore. The event features John Kedlecik opening the evening, a solo set from Williams and a performance from Williams’ Grateful Gospel, featuring Kadlecik. Grateful Gospel’s setlists showcase the spiritual side of the Grateful Dead.

VIP packages for the NYE show include reserved seating, a champagne toast, finger foods, a meet & greet and more.

Fan club tickets for all three nights are available now. The D.C. show is on sale to the public now. The general onsales for Richmond and Baltimore begin Sept. 2 at 10 a.m. EDT.
