Aurora Plans To Go Far This Fall
The synthpop singer is supporting her debut studio album, All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, which was released in March by Decca Records. Along with “I Went Too Far,” which she performed on “Colbert,” singles on the LP include “Half the World Away” and “Conqueror.”
Aurora has also earned attention for her cover of David Bowie’s “Life On Mars?” She showed off her haunting version on “Howard Stern” in July, a few months after it was included on an episode of “Girls.”
In January Rolling Stone named Aurora one of the “10 New Artists You Need To Know,” declaring that she sounds like: “Norse folk ballads served on the rocks. Tales – some real and some imaginary – over a variety of synth claps, trills and other electronic curios.”
Katy Perry was on board back in 2015. Last May she tweeted, “Finally. New music that makes my [heart] a flutter.”
The North American fall tour begins Oct. 31 in Washington, D.C., and runs through Dec. 3 in Vancouver.
“I’m so excited to be back in the states in November! This time things will be different. But also the same. Much like the trees will loose their leaves but not forget how to be a tree. I’m ready for a new dance. Until then, stay safe and eat blueberries,” Aurora said.
