Loretta Lynn Falls, Undergoing Surgery

Loretta Lynn is forced to postpone a handful of performances after suffering a fall that has resulted in the need for “minor surgery.” Thankfully, an announcement on her website assures fans that “her injuries are not serious.”

That being said, Lynn’s doctors have still recommended that the honky-tonk heroine “stay off the road until she’s made a full recovery.”

The announcement notes that as of Sept. 7 Lynn was at home at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., recuperating after the recent fall. Details weren’t given about the type of surgery she will undergo.

Lynn is postponing Friday’s show in Renfro Valley, Ky., as well as a Sept. 10 gig at The Harv in New Cumberland, W.Va., and her Sept. 17 appearance at Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion in Bristol, Tenn. The rescheduled dates are yet to be announced.
