A scale model of the Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center site is displayed during a news conference in New York City Sept. 8. The center, made out of translucent marble, is scheduled to open in 2020.

The Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center will be a cube-shaped 90,000-square-foot building made out of translucent marble and glass that illuminates at night.

The three-level facility will house three auditoriums, a rehearsal space and a café in the lobby.

N.Y. architecture firm REX created the design that is estimated to cost $243 million.

Billionaire Ronald Perelman donated $75 million to the project while the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation contributed $100 million in federal funds.

The remaining balance has yet to be raised, The New York Times reported.

The venue will be home to the Tribeca Film Festival and features rooms and hallways equipped with moveable walls that can create 11 different configurations.

Seating capacity will vary within the three theatres able to accommodate 499, 250 and 99 people.

It also has the capability of being transformed into one auditorium that can house 1,200 people.

The center’s opening is scheduled for 2020.
