Musictoday Files For Bankruptcy

Musictoday, the Coran Capshaw-founded merchandising and marketing company acquired and ultimately sold by Live Nation, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection along with Delivery Agent, its parent company.

The voluntary filing Sept. 14 included a motion for sale of all of the assets of Delivery Agent, which includes Musictoday and subsidiaries Clean Fun Promotional Marketing and Shop The Shows. The company in a statement released Sept. 15 says it has obtained a commitment for debtor in possession financing, which will allow it to continue normal business operations while working its way through bankruptcy proceedings.

“This is a very positive development for our company and our customers,” founder and CEO Mike Fitzsimmons said. “Through these proceedings we’re initiating a process that preserves company value, allows the company to reorganize its business affairs, and establishes a necessary foundation for future growth and profitability.”
