Kraftwerk Reboots In Europe, Latin America

Pioneering electronic music act Kraftwerk has shared its routing for the rest of 2016 and the first half of 2017, which includes a run in Spanish-speaking countries and its first proper U.K. tour in 13 years.

The group’s next endeavor is eight nights at  in Bilbao, Spain Oct. 7-14. Kraftwerk will be performing different material every night during that stint as a part of “The Catalogue,” according to the Guggenheim website.

After that, the gigs in Spanish-speaking cities continue, with a performance at Mexico’s  and shows in Buenos Aires and Santiago all on the menu.

Next year, there are now four nights planned for Antwerp, Belgium May 20-23. The group will be presenting the full catalogue there as well, which means there will be two shows each night.

Then it’s off to the U.K. and Ireland. The U.K. leg extends from June 4 in Belfast until June 22 at the  in London. The group’s live show is acclaimed for its pioneering use of 3D visual technology as well as its music.

It has been 13 years since the seminal dance music act had a series of dates in the United Kingdom. In 2013 Kraftwerk played a brief residency at  and appeared at a few festivals in the country.

Kraftwerk recently finished a tour of the U.S. and entered into the national conversation when Solange Knowles chronicled a racially-tense experience she had with another audience member at one of the group’s concert with her family.
