Vivint Arena Plans Unveiled

Officials in Utah unveiled renovation plans for the  in Salt Lake City Sept. 21.  

The $125 million project is already under way with most of the remodeling to begin at the end of the 2016-17 season. The Salt Lake City Tribune reported that all six levels of the arena will receive upgrades including the addition of a 12,000 square-foot atrium, new suites and lounges, revamped locker, will lead the project with the help of Icon Venue Group, which will manage and oversee the makeover and was involved with restoring Wrigley Field in Chicago and construction of the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The general contractor is Utah-based Layton Construction.

The renovation is expected to be completed by the beginning of the 2017-18 NBA season. Upcoming events at the arena include Maroon 5 Oct 8, Trans-Siberian Orchestra Nov. 22, Ariana Grande March 3 and Eric Church March 25.
