Dave Matthews Signs On For ‘Get Out The Vote Concert’

Dave Matthews Band fans will have to wait until 2018 to see DMB on tour but you’ve got another chance to catch Dave on stage this year. He’s playing a special “Get Out The Vote Concert,” which has been booked as an official Hillary Clinton campaign event.

The concert takes place Oct. 10 at Denver’s National Western Complex Stadium Arena, a week before voting by mail begins for Coloradans.

Clinton’s running mate, vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine, will appear with Matthews. Although it is safe to assume Kaine is there to speak, perhaps he’ll perform a song with the DMB frontman. After all, Kaine is a harmonica enthusiast.

Tickets to the Get Out The Vote Concert are free. Fans who are interested in attending can sign up at HillaryClinton.com to get information about picking up a ticket. The site notes that RSVP-ing does not guarantee admission. Click here for more information.

This isn’t Matthews’ first GOTV Concert of the year. In June he appeared at an official Bernie Sanders campaign event, along with Sanders, Fantastic Negrito, Fishborn, and Yarn.

When Dave Matthews Band announced its summer tour earlier this year it broke the news to fans that it would be taking a break from touring in 2017. The 2016 outing wrapped up with three nights at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Wash., Sept. 2-4.

Along with the Clinton GOTV gig, Matthews is appearing at the concert Oct 22-23 in Mountain View, Calif.
