DHP Taps Lilo For London Venues

Ed Lilo, formerly Head of Venues & Events at Vice UK, is going to bring his experience to DHP Family’s old and new London venues.

Lilo will work with DHP’s external and in-house promoters across the  in Hackney,  in Highbury and  in Soho. The latter two are being refurbished, while the Oslo’s been operating successfully as a bar, club and live music venue for several years.

Lilo will also be involved with “all aspects of the venues’ operations from club nights and marketing to brand partnerships, production and operations,” the announcement reads. DHP Family owner George Akins said he was “delighted to welcome Ed on board.”

Lilo said he was hoping to “bring a new perspective to what DHP is doing now and a focus on creating awesome concert diaries for both The Garage and The Borderline, as well as planning for 2017 and beyond.

“DHP works at a scale that’s attractive: small enough to care but big enough to make stuff happen. They’re established and ambitious and care about what they do but aren’t afraid to try projects that others don’t expect of them. And their venues and concerts are all produced to a really high standard.”
