MGM Books Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars and MGM Resorts International have inked a multi-year deal that will see the pop star performing at the company’s properties. The first gigs locked in through the partnership are at new venues in Las Vegas and Maryland.

The Las Vegas shows take place over two weekends at MGM’s currently under-construction . The first weekend, Dec. 30-31, will ring in the New Year, and the second set of shows is scheduled March 11-12. The 5,300-capacity Park Theater opens with Stevie Nicks and The Pretenders Dec. 17, just a few weeks before Mars comes to town.

The deal also means Mars is headed to The Theater at  in Oxon Hill, Md. The singer will host an event at the waterside venue Dec. 27, just a few weeks after it opens Dec. 8.

The only other date currently booked for Mars is an appearance at “We Can Survive” at the  in Los Angeles Oct. 22.

The singer’s third studio album, 24k Magic, is due out Nov. 18 via Atlantic Records. He released the title track last week.

MGM Resorts International owns the likes of  and , and has investments in many more companies and properties. With the Mars partnership set to last multiple years, the company will no doubt be turning to the star to add some flair to more of its events.
