Presented by The Bluegrass Situation, Goldenvoice and Red Light Management, “A Tribute To The Music Of Linda Ronstadt” is set for Dec. 11 at The Theatre at The Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.  The lineup also includes David Lindley, (Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz), Aoife O’Donovan, and Gaby Moreno.  Serving as the house band will be the Watkins Family Hour.  SiriusXM host and KMET legend Jim Ladd will make a special appearance.

Constructing a tribute to Ronstadt seems like an almost Herculean task considering the many accomplishments in the singer’s life.  From her days with The Stone Poneys to her incredible solo career, Ronstadt has seen her records achieve gold, platinum and double-platinum status.  Through the years she has collaborated with many exceptional artists including Bette Midler, Emmylou Harris, Warren Zevon, Philip Glass and Gram Parsons.

Proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research. Ronstadt revealed she had Parkinson’s disease in a 2013 interview with AARP Magazine

An American Express presale begins Oct. 12.  VIP and Super VIP packages will be available.  General onsales launch Oct. 14.  Follow this link for more details.

Billy Joel was the last artist to play the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y.  The Aug. 4, 2015 concert was the last bit of entertainment business for the venue before it closed its doors in order to undergo a very extensive renovation.

Scheduled to reopen in 2017, the Coliseum will pick up right where it left off by hosting Billy Joel the evening of April 5.  In addition to being the last act to play the venue, Joel’s history with the Coliseum includes nine sold-out gigs in 1998 which set the venue’s record for the most sellouts in one year.

“There is no better performer suited to reopen the transformed Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum than Long Island’s own, Billy Joel,” Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano said.  “Billy serves as an exciting reminder of entertainment our residents will enjoy at the Coliseum for generations to come.”

An American Express presale begins Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. and runs until 10 p.m. that evening.  General onsales start Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. All times Eastern Daylight.  Click here for more details.
