Steven Cooper Dies

Steven Cooper, an agent and promoter who worked with stars such as Natalie Cole, Charles Aznavour, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, B.B. King, Ray Charles, and Gladys Knight, died suddenly Aug. 5 following an illness. He was 76, according to Deadline Hollywood.  

The Canada native started his career at ICM in New York City, and went on to run the Fox Theater in St. Louis in the early 1980s. He established his career as a booker and promoter in Los Angeles.

Shows he had a hand in were “Legends of Rock ’N’ Roll Live” in Rome with Jerry Lee Lewis, bringing “Disney On Ice” to South Africa, and Julio Iglesias’ first South African tour, among the many, Deadline Hollywood reported.
