Lollapalooza Paris

Angelo Gopee, director of Live Nation France, confirmed that the Lollapalooza brand will arrive in France July 22-23, 2017.

The festival will be staged at the Longchamp Racecourse, where Live Nation already stages the French offshoot of Download Festival. In an interview with telerama.fr, Gopee also talked briefly about the takeover of Nous Productions in August.

He said the integration of the company served to develop the heart of Live Nation’s business – concerts, festivals, tours – and to strengthen its presence in France, where it now employs 56 people. He said that in a sector that was increasingly fluctuating, with some players making aggressive and even indecent offers, “we had to adapt.”

Gopee also said he thought there was still enough room for yet another festival in France besides Rock en Seine, Les Vieilles Charrues, We Love Green, Old Plough, Solidays and Live Nation’s own Download, Mainsquare and I Love Techno. He also said that his company wouldn’t interfere with Rock en Seine, which was promoted by Nous Productions, now part of LN, in partnership with Radical Productions.
