AEG Facilities has been awarded a contract to operate the new 6,000-capacity arena in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which is expected to open in early 2019.

The venue is expected to be the anchor to District Live!, a five-acre hospitality and entertainment district being built by Island Hospitality Partners and Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority.

The nearby Puerto Rico Convention Center has been operated by AEG Facilities since July.
