Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds’ European Adventure

Dave Matthews is unplugging and bringing his longtime friend Tim Reynolds on a European Trek in 2017 that will mostly have the duo in theaters.

Dave and Tim’s routing opens up in London with a pair of shows at Eventim Apollo March 20 and 21. The duo mostly only play one or two nights in a country before moving on, and the routing runs three weeks, ending April 11 in Oporto, Portugal at Coliseu Do Porto.

While a lot of the scheduled venues are theaters, there are some arenas and coliseums as well, so plenty of people will get their chance to see the music men.

Dave Matthews Band is celebrating 25 years by taking a break from touring next year, according to a press release, so this gives Dave more time to play with Reynolds, who he has already recorded three live albums with. Reynolds was an early friend who initially encouraged Matthews to start his own project while working as a bartender, and was a longtime collaborator with Dave Matthews Band before finally recording as a member on DMB’s Away from the World in 2012.

The duo played Coliseu Do Porto in Bristow, Va., together last month. Here’s a clip:

In addition to the European trek, Dave and Tim are playing three nights in Mexico at the Barceló Riviera Maya Feb. 23-25 at a special getaway event.
