Shaggy, Wailers Back For Raggamuffin X
Grammy-winning Shaggy along with two links to reggae pioneer Bob Marley – The Wailers featuring Family Man, and one of Bob’s sons, Ky-Mani Marley – are confirmed for New Zealand’s Raggamuffin X.
Barclays Center, Brooklyn, N.Y.
The festival takes place at Auckland’s Trusts Arena Feb. 18. The largest reggae festival in the Southern Hemisphere has in recent years expanded to urban and hip-hop acts.
But for its 10th anniversary, it’s reverted to a full-reggae lineup. Organisers said Shaggy was the most requested act on the festival’s Facebook page.
Other names include Morgan Heritage, Jamaican-born Etana and Conkarah, and Hawaii’s Kiwini and Jah Maoli, along with New Zealand’s high-profile Six60, The Black Seeds, Herbs, Salmonella Dub, House of Shem and Lomez Brown.
