New Music & Gigs From The Flaming Lips

Wayne Coyne & Co. are ready to rock 2017 with an album coming out in January and a new batch of U.S. tour dates. The Flaming Lips also has a new video to show off.

Oczy Mlody is due out Jan. 13 via Warner Bros. Records as the follow-up to 2013’s The Terror. The LP was produced by the band and longtime producer Dave Fridmann.

The band’s PR rep declares that the Lips “return to form with an album no less experimental in nature, but perhaps more melodically song-oriented, recalling the best parts of their most critically applauded albums The Soft Bulletin and the gold-certified Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots.”

Pre-orders began today and include an instant download of the song “The Castle.” Three more tracks will be available in advance of the January release. The 12-track album is available digitally or as a CD or vinyl edition.

Check out the video for “The Castle” below. But prepare yourself – an announcement notes that the “seemingly simple image is as emotionally affecting as the song itself.”
