Pete Burns, 57, lead singer of Dead or Alive, died Oct. 24 after suffering a cardiac arrest, according to his management.

Burns, known for the 1985 hit “You Spin Me Round,” was also known for his androgynous stage persona that, at the time, he claimed was appropriated by Boy George to greater success. He was also known for a stint on the 2006 appearance on “Celebrity Big Brother,” where he came in fifth place.

“He was a true visionary, a beautiful talented soul, and he will be missed by all who loved and appreciated everything he was and all of the wonderful memories he has left us with,” management said in a statement.
