Stefansson Tapped For Philips Arena

Brett Stefansson has been named exec VP and GM of , home of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.  

Stefansson was most recently exec VP and GM of the , home of the San Antonio Spurs, where he was involved in a $110 million renovation.

He also spent 13 years at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., where he climbed to senior VP and GM. The announcement came alongside the promotions of three key senior execs of the team and venue, including Thad Sheely, who has been promoted to COO.

Trey Feazell, formerly GM, has been given the title Executive VP / GM Arena Programming and will report to Stefansson, according to a spokesman who stressed that there really isn’t a chain of command and the two are referred to as part of an “executive team.”
