Corgan Wrestles For TNA Control

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan is looking to dropkick Total Nonstop Action chairwoman Dixie Carter and take over control of the independent pro wrestling presenter, according to documents unsealed in his suit against her.

TNA President Corgan filed an injunction claiming he should be granted control of the company because Carter has not honored a loan agreement in which she agreed to pledge 100 percent of her equity interest to him.

Nashville-based TNA is insolvent and in negotiations to be sold to World Wrestling Entertainment, according to the Tennessean. Corgan alleges that Carter told TNA wrestlers that WWE is interested in acquiring its assets including a video library. He asked the judge in the case to grant him Carter’s voting rights and allow him to take over the company, the paper reports.
