Take That Adds To Wonderland Dates

It seems like the United Kingdom and Ireland were definitely ready for Take That’s return: A plethora of new shows have been announced in the last 24 hours due to high demand.

The announcements came via the group’s Twitter. Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, London, and Birmingham are all getting extra gigs. One highlight has been the fourth, fifth and sixth shows added in Birmingham.

Regarding the general onsale today, Take That made an announcement urging “anybody buying tickets to do so only from official sources: direct from venues or the official ticketing sites.” The band is likely doing that to try to fight the scams and outrageous price hikes increasingly associated with the secondary ticketing market.

The new album, Wonderland, is coming out March 17. The group is also performing at the BBC’s  concert at London’s  Nov. 1.

The lineup currently consists of Gary BarlowHoward Donald and Mark Owen, as original members Jason Orange and  are no longer performing with the group. The Telegraph reported that Progress, the group’s 2010 album with its full original lineup, was the fastest-selling album of the 21st century.
