TM Returns As SMG’s Official Partner

Following a few years with Eventim, venue operator SMG will return to using the services of Ticketmaster.

The move is expected to take place by summer 2018. It follows the announcement that SMG and Live Nation are going to manage and program the new Bristol Arena, which is supposed to be completed in 2018.

SMG will also use Ticketmaster’s resale platform as official resale marketplace.

“I am delighted that the successes in project collaboration will be widened into an enlarged relationship with Ticketmaster as a strategic ticketing partner in due course,” said John Sharkey, SMG Europe’s executive vice president of European operations.

Andrew Parsons, managing director of Ticketmaster UK, added: “SMG Europe and Ticketmaster share the same ambitions: understand our audience; provide a premium service to promoters; sell tickets fast, and ultimately get more tickets into the hands of fans.”
