SFX Entertainment filed an extension with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to file a Chapter 11 plan.

If the motion is accepted, the embattled company will need to file by Dec. 31 and solicit acceptances by Feb. 28.

The confirmation hearing is scheduled for Nov. 9.
