MSG Gets A CAA Partner
The Madison Square Garden Company announced Nov. 3 that it is adding partners to the team bringing its venue to Las Vegas: design consultant HOK and ICON Venue group – the facility project company bought by CAA Sports in March.
ICON will serve as the owner’s representative and project manager, overseeing the development, design and construction of the venue. HOK will work collaboratively with MSG to provide architectural and interior design services, according to a statement.
“The tremendous success of the Forum validates that if you bring a large-scale venue focused on music and entertainment to the right market, you can create a thriving destination,” Azoff MSG Entertainment Chairman Irving Azoff said. “Las Vegas is as an entertainment capital that does not currently have a state-of-the-art venue created specifically for major concerts. We think this represents our next opportunity to replicate what we did in Inglewood, Calif.”
