Red Hot Chili Peppers Put Forth Second NA Leg

Red Hot Chili Peppers, currently on tour in Europe, has extended its North American plans in 2017, leaving the group solidly booked for the next 8 months.

The Peppers already had a North American leg booked from Jan. 5 to March 18 and now the band has announced new dates from April 12 to June 30.

There is still no word on the opening act for the new leg. The band is currently on the road with Babymetal, a Japanese act featuring three girls dancing on stage in the “idol” style popular in Japan, while being back by a metal band. The first North American leg will be with Trombone Shorty & Orleans AvenueJack Irons will also appear at some January gigs.

Outside of North America, the group is playing  in Lisbon, Portugal on July 13 and  in Brazil Sept. 24.

The band is showing off tunes from its latest release, The Getaway, which has been topping charts around the globe. The group is giving fans a digital or physical copy of the album with every ticket purchased.

This Chili Peppers lineup features founders Anthony Kiedis and Flea alongside drummer Chad Smith and relative newcomer , who has been playing with the group since 2009.
